Roberto Luongo and the Vancouver Canucks have worked out an agreement that would see the Montreal-born goaltender stay in Vancouver for the foreseeable future. Luongo was working with with the Canucks to iron out a deal before the season starts so that any discussions would not interfere with his ability to play.

Rumors state that Luongo’s new terms will have him stay with the team for 10 years with $50-60 million. The Canucks organization will not confirm the amount as per their policy on contract negotiations, but will make an announcement once all the details have been finalized.
