Roberto Luongo Contract Update

Earlier today, Mike Gillis, Vancouver Canucks President and General Manager, confirmed that the contract for goaltender Roberto Luongo, has been finalized. The Montreal native’s 12 year contract will last through to the 2021-2022 season.

Luongo boasted a record of 33-13-7 for the 2008-2009 season, including 9 shutouts. The goaltender also holds the record for the second longest shutout in the league at just over 242 minutes; which was achieved during the same season.
