It’s official, the sale of the Chicago Cubs and the iconic Wrigley Field is now finished. Joe Ricketts of Omaha, Nebraska-based TD Ameritrade, now owns the team and its assets after paying Chicago’s Tribune Company a hefty $845 million USD.

Joe Ricketts will head the board as chairman while Pete, Tom, Laura and Todd Ricketts operate as the team’s board of directors.

An announcement is expected at Wrigley Field, this Friday.
