Luongo on ice

A hairline rib fracture took Vancouver Canucks captain, Roberto Luongo, out of the team’s line up late Tuesday. Luongo was hit in the chest during third period in Saturday’s game against the Toronto Maple Leafs, but the pain progressed through the last two games on Sunday and Tuesday.

It’s unknown when the Montreal native will return to the ice, however, Andrew Raycroft, will get the call to play against the Los Angeles Kings this Thursday.

Cory Schneider has been brought as Raycroft’s backup from the Canucks’ affiliate AHL team, the Manitoba Moose.
