The Vancouver Canucks have put defenceman, Mathieu Schneider, on waivers after he walked out on December 18th upon hearing he would be unable play against the Washington Capitals that night.
Schneider has apparently told management that he’s unhappy with the loss of ice time and was placed on waivers to give the 40 year old an opportunity to play with another team.
Schneider signed a one year, $1.5 million contract, as a free agent back in August with the Vancouver Canucks.
