In 2010, fans were treated to an apéritif when Capcom‘s Keiji Inafune mentioned that Mega Man Legends 3 was being developed. Those dreams were dashed after the Japanese gaming company released a statement on July 18th, 2011 announcing the cancellation of Mega Man Legends 3.

According to the release, the project didn’t meet the “…the required criteria…” to continue and development has been ceased, which means that no demo or game will be published. No details of what the criteria necessary for such a decision was made available.

Mega Man Legends 3 would’ve been available for the Nintendo 3DS handheld console.
