Get ready to put the pedal to the metal with your favourite blue hedgehog! Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed is the follow up to Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing and not only introduces new vehicles but new characters as well.

Along with the standard racing karts, air and watercraft are now available and can transformed into during game play by passing through special transformation rings. Of course, terrain and other conditions will impact vehicle handling and special techniques can be used to boost speed, performance and other abilities. Modifications and upgrades can be unlocked to improve a vehicle’s functionality and handling.

Many characters from Sega-held franchises make an appearance in Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed. In addition to Sonic the Hedgehog, Super Monkey Ball lends AiAi and MeeMee, Amigo heats things up from Samba de Amigo, swashbuckling sky pirate Vyse soars in from Skies of Arcadia, plus many more from Jet Set Radio, Space Channel 5, Shinobi and Wreck-It Ralph. Interestingly enough, NASCAR driver Danica Patrick is also a playable character.

Single player mode includes the ability to unlock additional characters and vehicle improvements. Online multiplayer capabilities have been revamped to allow splitscreen functionality and matches up to 10 other players from around the world.

Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed will be available for the Wii U on November 18th, 2012; PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on November 20th, 2012; PlayStation Vita and Nintendo 3DS on December 11th, 2012.
