In anticipation of the next Neon Genesis Evangelion movie, the Animate Cafe in Tokyo’s Ikebukuro district will be serving up Evangelion-themed food for the month of November as the aptly titled Evangelion Cafe.
The menu includes a variety of drinks and snacks designed with the hit anime series in mind. Take the latte that is cleverly poured to look like the fourth angel. Or the parfait stylized like the Unit 01 with sweet potato and green tea ice cream. Even a tall glass of Misato Katsuragi’s beer is available, complete with a side of peanuts.
Postcards featuring a number of the characters in waitstaff uniforms will be handed out along with unique coasters decorated with an angel and the Evangelion Cafe logo. Additional merchandise and promotional items will be available for purchase in the cafe’s store.
A lottery system will be used when the cafe gets too busy during peak hours. More information is available on the cafe’s web site.
This limited time collaboration will be available from Thursday, November 1st, 2012 until Friday, November 30th, 2012. Similar events have occurred for the Naruto and Fullmetal Alchemist movies.
