Just as quickly as he returned to the ice, Ryan Kesler skated back off and back on to the injured list. After undergoing a CT scan, it was found that there was a fracture on Kesler’s right foot; he had shown up at practice with a cast.
Vancouver Canucks coach Alain Vigneault revealed during an interview that the Livonia, Michigan native could be out for some four to six weeks.
Kesler had undergone surgery in mid-2012 for a shoulder injury, which left him sidelined until he was able to play against the visiting Dallas Stars on February 15th, 2013.
