Ryan Miller comes to Vancouver

There’s a new goaltender in town as Ryan Miller joins the Vancouver Canucks on a three-year contract after being signed on July 1st, 2014.

Miller, who hails from East Lansing, Michigan, played 59 games between the St. Louis Blues and Buffalo Sabres during the 2013-14 season, going 25-30-4 with 2.64 GAA (.918 Save %). During his NHL career, Miller has played in some 559 games going 294-194-60 with 2.59 GAA (.918 Save %) and 29 shutouts. The 33 year-old played in 53 post season games, reaching the Eastern Conference Final during the 2006 and 2007 NHL Playoffs. Miller also holds a Vezina Trophy for his performance during the 2009-10 season with a 41-18-8 record, 2.22 GAA (.929 Save %).

Hockey fans in Vancouver may remember Miller as he represented the United States in during the 2010 Winter Olympics, earning not only a silver medal, but tournament MVP, Olympic All-Star and Best Goalie awards.
