Naruto Shippuden Box Set 03
After Kakashi is hospitalized for using his upgraded sharingan skills, Naruto and Sakura come face-to-face with a new team-mate and leader. The new team-mate, Sai, is a little odd and emotionless, bringing a suspicious eye from both Naruto and Sakura. Their new leader, Yamato, a member of ANBU, takes the new team 7 on a mission to recover information from a spy within Orochimaru’s organization.

The third Naruto Shippuden box set features Gaara on the cover will be released with two versions: a regular and special edition. The special edition will contain a mini figure of the kazekage himself.

As per the first two box sets, 13 episodes, 27 through 40, will span three discs.

The Naruto Shippuden Box Set 3 is scheduled to reach store shelves on August 3rd, 2010

Naruto Shippuden Jacket at Hot Topic

Naruto Shippuden Jacket

Naruto Shippuden Jacket

For the Naruto fan, Hot Topic is now selling the Shippuden version of the blond ninja’s jacket.

Ripple Junction, manufacturer of tees based on anime, cartoons and movies, has faithfully recreated the jacket using a blend of  black and orange cotton/polyester fabric. The familiar red spiral is embroidered on the back with another smaller gray spiral on the upper left sleeve. The smaller spiral has two vertical pieces of brown fabric on each side, with a stem of orange plastic on the right side. It looks a little strange, but when you glance at the actual jacket in the series, it makes sense (I have no clue what its purpose is for though).

Unlike the previous style that the younger Naruto wore, there are exterior pockets on both sides, but no MP3 player pocket on the inside.

The jacket is pretty comfortable, but not really warm when I put it to the test this morning. The cool Vancouver weather let me know to wear something warmer underneath.

All in all, it’s a really nice jacket. You can buy it in most Hot Topic stores or online.

Naruto Shippuden on Disney XD

  Frederick Linsmeyer • September 10, 2009 • Anime, Television

The Walt Disney Company and Viz Media have worked out a deal to broadcast Naruto Shippuden on the Disney XD channel this October.

Disney XD is a channel aimed at boys aged 6 to 10, and Disney believes that this will be a draw as Naruto Shippuden proved popular once Viz started streaming subtitled episodes earlier this year. Naruto Shippuden follows the original Naruto series, with the titular character as a teenager. The first four episodes of Naruto Shippuden are currently available on iTunes.

Disney recently purchased Marvel Entertainment back on August 31st, 2009.
