The Stanley Cup Finals

Both the Vancouver Canucks and their fans have waited 17 long years for a third trip to the Stanley Cup Finals. While the Boston and Tampa Bay series goes to game 7, Vancouver has time to prepare for the what are arguably the most important games in hockey. The Vancouver Sun has made available a copy of what the final schedule looks like.

Ohlund signs with Tampa Bay

After spending his entire career with the Vancouver Canucks, defenseman Mattias Ohlund became a free agent and signed with the Tampa Bay Lightning. Ohlund’s new contract will net him $24.5 million over the next seven years in Florida.

Ohlund was first drafted 13th overall by Vancouver back in 1994 and had accumulated 93 goals through his career, six of which are from the 2008-2009 season.
