Expect to see Alex Burrows in a Canucks jersey for the next few seasons. The left-winger just inked a four year contract to stay in Vancouver.
Burrows, from Pincourt, Quebec, scored 28 goals with 24 assists and collected 52 points in 80 games during the 2011-2012 season. Burrows’ on-ice presence has earned himself some notoriety around the league, racking up 90 penalty minutes last season.
Since joining with the Canucks in 2005, Burrows has also made it into the team’s record books – ranking second with 16 shorthanded goals and with most career overtime playoff goals at 3.
