With the North American release of Fire Emblem Awakening next month, Nintendo has sprung a few surprises. For $199.99 USD, a special edition of the Nintendo 3DS handheld console will come with the turn-based strategy game pre-installed and a 4GB SD card. Decorated with two dragons separated by a sword screened onto the glossy cobalt case, this system will be sure to make any handheld gamer just a teensy bit jealous.
In addition to the eye candy, Crunchyroll has discovered that players will be able to select one of two languages their character speaks in-game. The only obvious choices are English and Japanese. Coupled with the neat feature of downloadable content to expand the action, this just might take the series to a whole new level. On launch day, the first map will be free, but only for a short period of time.
Fire Emblem Awakening will be available on February 4th, 2013. Can’t wait? Download a demo from the Nintendo eShop on January 17th, 2013.
