Square Enix revealed on Monday that they are finally bringing Kingdom Hearts Final Mix to North America this coming Fall. Combined with Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories, both games will be compiled onto one disc to make Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD Remix for the PlayStation 3.

Kingdom Hearts Final Mix, a remastered version of the first released game in the series on the PlayStation 2, was only available in Japan and incorporated new scenes and storytelling to tie it in with the then unreleased Kingdom Hearts II. Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories, originally for the Game Boy Advance and re-released for the PlayStation 2, served as a sequel for the first game, included full motion videos and introduced a unique card-based battle system. Scenes from Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days will also be worked into the game as well.

Both games will be overhauled with improved graphics and come with extra weapons, enemies, abilities and plot updates.

No actual date has been made available for when Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD Remix will hit store shelves.
