Remember that demo video of Kingdom Hearts III from E3 this year? How smooth the graphics looked and that the drool from all the fans eager to start playing this could easily fill an Olympic-sized swimming pool? Turn the faucets off because Sora won’t be loaded onto your PlayStation 4 (or Xbox One) any time soon.

In an interview with IGN, Shinji Hashimoto, the producer for the Kingdom Hearts series, explained that director Tetsuya Nomura is spreading his time between Kingdom Hearts III and Final Fantasy XV. Rather than release a rushed product, Square Enix is taking its time in making sure that two of its biggest upcoming titles are polished and ready for the masses.

As a result, both games won’t be available in the immediate future; estimates place Final Fantasy XV in 2014 followed by Kingdom Hearts III in 2015. Of course, don’t treat these as solid dates. You can watch the E3 trailer on repeat in the meantime.
