With the recent release of Inazuma Eleven 3: Lightning Bolt and Inazuma Eleven 3: Bomb Blast on the Nintendo 3DS in Europe, Pocket Gamer managed to have a quick Q&A with Level-5 president Akihiro Hino.
Pocket Gamer popped the question fans of the soccer (or football) games have been waiting for: “Have you considered a US release for the Inazuma Eleven series?” Hino responded with: “If more people in the US start saying that they want to play the games then I’d love to respond to that and make preparations for their release.”
The Inazuma Eleven series is popular in Japan, originally starting off as a game for the Nintendo DS before spinning off into an array of additional games, anime and manga. Most of the handheld games have been released in Europe where soccer reigns supreme, but has not reached Canada and the United States. However if enough fans speak up, there is a chance developer Level-5 will bring Inazuma Eleven to North America.
