Brothers Daniel and Henrik Sedin have each signed four-year contracts with the Vancouver Canucks worth $28 million that will last through to the 2017-18 season.

The twins, both 33, have played in Vancouver their entire professional career. This season, Daniel has scored six goals with nine assists for a total of 15 points, while Henrik, the captain, has three goals with 15 assists and 18 points. In playing with the Canucks, Henrik has tallied 792 points over 629 games played, taking the record from former captain and neighbour Markus Naslund.

Both brothers hail from Örnsköldsvik, Sweden — during the 1999 NHL Entry Draft, Daniel was selected second overall while Henrik was chosen third overall.
