What better way to kick off summer than a Latin American festival in downtown Vancouver? Carnaval del Sol returns to the Granville Street this July for a two-day fiesta that celebrates the food, music, and culture from countries in Central and South America.

There will be food vendors, live music, artisans, and soccer matches for those who think they’ve got game. There will even be family-friendly activities to keep the young ones entertained. For those who enjoy dancing, the rink at Robson Square will be turned into a huge dance floor complete with instructors and DJ’s to get everyone moving.

Carnaval del Sol takes over Granville Street between Nelson Street and Dunsmuir Street on Saturday, July 5th and Sunday, July 6th, 2014 and is free to attend. Because of its central location, transit offers a convenient way to and from Carnaval del Sol — exit at Granville for SkyTrain and Vancouver City Centre for Canada Line.
