It’s been at least 17 years since Goku and his friends made an appearance in theatre. Now you can catch the legendary Saiyan in his newest feature film this August, Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods.

Peace on Earth doesn’t last long as a new threat looms over the planet. The God of Destruction, Beerus, begins scouring the galaxy in search of the one who crushed Frieza so that he can fight him. Goku, the one Beerus is looking for, isn’t strong enough to take on this powerful new enemy. In order to face the God of Destruction, Goku must become a God himself. Can Goku save the Earth?

While there are two showings in the United States, Canadian fans will be able to watch Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods on Thursday, August 7th, 2014 at select Cineplex locations. Check your theatre for showtimes and tickets.
