Mewtwo was released as a downloadable character, along with a game update for Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS/Wii U today. According to Smashboards, some fans have already begun searching through the update code in hopes of finding anything interesting. Reddit user shinyquagsire23 appears to have struck gold — victory themes for a few characters not yet in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS/Wii U.
The victory themes are for Mewtwo (which is a given), Ryu, Roy and Lucas. Lucas has been announced as downloadable this coming June, while Roy and Ryu are interesting nonetheless. As there’s already a Roy in the game (as one of Bowser’s offspring), it’s possible that it might be the hero from Fire Emblem: The Sealed Sword while Ryu could be the one and only from Capcom’s Street Fighter series.
A video of the music files has been uploaded to YouTube.
Of course, the presence of these files doesn’t confirm anything. However, anything’s possible since Nintendo did ask fans to voice which character they want to see in the popular fighting franchise.
