The final episode focusing on Uchiha Itachi concludes on Thursday, April 28th, thus closing the tormenting saga of the elder Uchiha sibling. This lets the Naruto Shippuden series return to the manga story where Naruto and Sasuke square off against Uchiha Madara in the Fourth Great Ninja War in episode 459, titled “The Incipient” which airs Thursday, May 5th.

Coinciding with this announcement, TV Tokyo uploaded to their web site new promotional artwork featuring Naruto, Sakura, Sasuke and Kakashi.

Additionally, Japanese band Asian Kung-Fu Generation returns to perform the song “Blood Circulator” during the opening credits.
