New mobile games, The Legend of Zelda update and confirmation of the Nintendo NX console were some of the topics included in Nintendo’s fiscal earning report which ended on March 31st, 2016 according to a press release by the Japanese gaming company.

Following the success of Miitomo, which surpassed 10 million users worldwide since its March 31st launch, two more mobile games were announced. Expected in the fall of 2016 are titles from the Fire Emblem and Animal Crossing franchises which will feature far more immersive gameplay than Miitomo. Further details of these apps are proposed in the coming months.

Information about the next generation console, NX, is still limited. Secrecy still shrouds the device which will not be included in Nintendo’s line up for this year’s E3 expo. However, NX has an anticipated release in March 2017 and that a proper reveal will happen in late 2016.

Work continues on The Legend of Zelda game, which will launch in 2017 concurrently on both Wii U and NX. Nintendo mentioned that they will have a playable Wii U version of the game at E3 in June and it will be the only game attendees can partake in during the event.
