On March 10, the unofficial Mario day, Lego released a short teaser of a new set of building toy based on Nintendo’s iconic mustachioed plumber Super Mario.

This morning, a full video shared on Facebook gives a better look into the Super Mario Lego set.

What’s really unique about this is Mario doesn’t appear as a standard minifigure: instead, he’s much larger and blockier, with a digital screen on his chest and digital eyes and mouth for updated facial expressions. The screen which is between the buttons on Mario’s overalls changes when interacting with different elements, changing to a countdown timer, gold coin and flames when he comes into contact with lava.

But there’s more: this expansive set is not complete without brick versions of Shy Guys, Goombas, Piranha Plants, Koopas, Yoshi, and the nefarious Baby Bowser! The green pipes and mystery boxes allow Mario to begin his adventure and power up when in contact.

No date on when the Super Mario Lego sets become available for purchase.
