Back in the late 1980s and into the 1990s, Lego unveiled their successful pirate theme. A number of sets included huge sailing ships including the legendary Black Sea Barracuda, Skull’s Eye Schooner (I had the Caribbean Clipper set). Now, Lego is re-releasing one of these famed ships, but with a unique twist.
A video shared on Lego’s Facebook page revealed the new product and envisions how the Black Sea Barracuda ended up stranded.

Pirates of Barracuda Bay is a re-imagining of the Black Sea Barracuda shipwrecked on a remote tropical island. Under the command of Captain Redbeard, the hulk is re-purposed into living quarters and support for the marooned crew.
At 2,545 pieces, Pirates of Barracuda Bay is a large and beautiful model. Fancy having a ship instead of a stationary island? The set comes with everything to make it float (not literally, of course).
Pirates of Barracuda Bay releases on Wednesday, April 1st, 2020 and retails for $259.99 CAD.
