While most events are cancelled, spring continues and trees are beginning to blossom. I didn’t have to go far (and maintained my distance) to capture these brilliant but delicate pink cherry blossoms soaking in the setting sun this evening.
I used my Nikon D610 with the 50mm f/1.8G lens to achieve the sharpness of the blossoms in focus and maintaining a nice soft blur for the distant branches. Exposure was set to 1/400 with an ISO of 200.
So if you can’t get out and enjoy the sakura, these photos hopefully are the next best thing. Once this is all over, we can continue to enjoy nature’s beauty in person.
