Square Enix announced today that Final Fantasy VII Remake has sold more than 3.5 million digital and physical copies globally in the first three days of its release.

This sales figure was shared to the official Final Fantasy VII Remake page on Facebook.

Final Fantasy VII Remake, a complete overhaul of the original title from 1997, was released for the PlayStation 4 on April 10th, 2020.

In the game, Cloud Strife teams up with Avalanche, a group of eco-terrorists looking to stop the destruction of the planet by the Shinra Electric Power Company as it sucks the life force, called mako, out of the ground for use as energy. However, there’s a more sinister force working in the background, as Shinra is only a cover.
