While Japan is asking their citizens to stay home in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, many anime series are on hold. In keeping the spirit of anime fans up while waiting for when their favourite shows resume, TV Tokyo is re-running series, including Boruto: Naruto Next Generations and promoting staying at home with artwork and online commentaries.

Boruto: Naruto Next Generations was placed on hiatus at the end of April. Since then, TV Tokyo has rebroadcast existing episodes with live comments from the voice actors on Twitter under the hashtag #おうちでBORUTO (#BORUTOathome).

In addition, the broadcaster is sharing artwork of the Uzumaki, Uchiha and Orochimaru families watching television together to promote the #おうちでBORUTO hashtag and the inclusiveness of remaining indoors during the pandemic.
