It appears that ecommerce and media giant Amazon is working to bring Grace Field House into reality with a live-action retelling of the manga series The Promised Neverland written by Kaiu Shirai and illustrated by Posuka Demizu.

Director Rodney Rothman has already signed on to the project, with Masi Oka, Roy Lee and Miri Yoo joining Rothman as producers. Meghan Malloy is writing the script. Rothman and Malloy recently worked together on the animated movie Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse.

This news comes on the heels that a live-action film of the manga is expected to screen in Japanese theatres December 18th, 2020, according to Anime News Network.

The Promised Neverland takes place at the massive Grace Field House, where three young children become aware of their true purpose while those around them remain oblivious… The manga was adapted into a popular 12-episode anime which initially aired in early 2019, with a second season expected in 2021.
