Japanese pop band Ikimonogakari has revealed their song “Baku” was selected as the next opening theme for Boruto: Naruto Next Generations.
This is the third time a song by Ikimonogakari appears in the Naruto franchise, with “Blue Bird” and “Hotaru no Hikari”, both of which played at the start of episodes of Naruto Shippuden in 2008 and 2009 respectively.
The band’s web site mentions that “Baku” will become available on January 18th, 2021, followed by release of the CD single on February 24th, 2021. The single will include both “Blue Bird” and “Hotaru no Hikari”.
A statement by guitarist Yoshiki Mizuno says that he’s “… very happy to be back with NARUTO / BORUTO.”
