Ukyo Kodachi is leaving Boruto: Naruto Next Generations with series creator and supervisor Masashi Kishimoto taking his place as writer according to a post on Twitter.
A translation of the tweet explains that starting with chapter 52 of the Boruto manga, which is being published in the December edition of V Jump, there is a change to the production. It goes on to thank Mr. Kodachi for his work on the manga and that future serialization will include Mr. Kishimoto as writer.
The December edition of V Jump goes on sale Saturday, November 21st, 2020. V Jump is a monthly magazine as opposed to Weekly Shonen Jump which is distributed, as its name suggests, weekly. Boruto: Naruto Next Generations moved from Weekly Shonen Jump to V Jump in July 2019.
Kodachi shared additional comments on his personal Twitter account thanking fans for their support and that he looks forward to continuing Boruto’s journey as a reader.
Kishimoto recently completed work on Samurai 8: Tale of Hachimaru which concluded in March of this year.
Mikio Ikemoto continues in his role as artist on Boruto: Naruto Next Generations.
