Professional e-sports organization Team Liquid has released a new apparel line-up featuring designs from the popular anime series Naruto Shippuden.
This new collaboration, which coincides with the 20th anniversaries both brands have recently celebrated (Naruto in 1999 and Team Liquid in 2000).
The collection includes a black denim jacket emblazoned with Kurama, the nine-tailed fox demon on the back, a parka, tie-dyed hoodies with the team’s logo on the front and Sasuke or the series’s cast on the back. Long sleeved shirts are decorated Naruto and Sasuke squaring off against each other, plenty of tees, cargo and sweat pants, and a hat. Prices on the team’s web store start at $35.00 USD (approximately $44.00 CAD) for the t-shirts, $80.00 USD for the pants, $85.00 USD for the hoodies, maxing out at $100.00 USD ($126.91 CAD) for the two-toned black and white parka that has Naruto himself screened on the back.
The demand for the for Naruto collab was so high, it overwhelmed their online store according to a Tweet. Fans who missed out can still pre-order until 5:00 pm PST (8:00 pm EST) on Friday, February 19th, 2021.
Team Liquid has 60 athletes worldwide participating in games like League of Legends, Dota 2, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Rainbow 6: Siege, Fortnite and PUBG. Their European team, playing Dota 2, claimed championship titles at The International 2017 and Supermajor 2018.
Team Liquid has previously held partnerships with Marvel and tokidoki.
Naruto Shippuden is the anime adaptation of Masashi Kishimoto’s Naruto manga. The Naruto manga comprises of 72 volumes while the anime has 720 episodes, 11 movies and a sequel series called Boruto: Naruto Next Generation that focuses on Naruto Uzumaki’s son, Boruto.
