The Devil Is A Part-Timer! began as a series of light novels written by Satoshi Wagahara and illustrated by Oniku. First published in 2011 by Kadokawa, the story was adapted into 12-episode anime in 2013 and then into a manga. The Demon King Satan and his generals Alciel and Lucifer wage an assault on the archipelago Ente Isla before being repulsed by the Hero Emilia. Escaping through a portal that opens into Japan, Satan and Alciel assume new alias as they look to sustain their weakening strength by taking low-wage jobs and renting a small apartment from the mysterious Miki-T.
