Asia to get English version of Demon Slayer game this year

A new website hosted by Sega revealed the game Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles is being launched in Asia this year and will feature voices in English and Japanese.

The Sega Asia Blog added that the game will also include subtitles in English, Japanese, traditional Chinese and simplified Chinese.

Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles is being developed by CyberConnect2 Co. Ltd, with involvement from Aniplex and ufotable, and published by Sega, will arrive on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Steam, Xbox One, Xbox Series and Series X in Taiwan, Hong Kong, South Korea and Southeast Asia. No information regarding a potential global release was mentioned.

The game has two modes; a single-player adventure that controls series protagonist Tanjiro Kamado in a recreation of the anime story and a two-player battle mode with the main cast of either online or offline. A limited roster of playable characters are Tanjiro Kamado, Nezuko Kamado, Zenitsu Agatsuma, Inosuke Hashibira and Giyu Tomioka. Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles uses cel-shaded graphics to recreate the visuals experienced in the popular anime, which is based off the manga by Koyoharu Gotouge.

As Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles is still under development, certain aspects of the game may change before it is ready for retail.
