The summer line-up for Virtual Crunchyroll Expo is getting hotter with the first guests and programing being announced. The three-day online event takes place August 5th-7th, 2021.

Crunchyroll, which boasts itself as the largest anime streaming, will include a preview of the TONIKAWA: Over the Moon for You OVA, plus plenty of guests and sweet anime merchandise.

Appearing at the virtual convention is English voice actor Cherami Leigh. A 20 year veteran who’s portfolio includes live and voice roles, Cherami is perhaps best recognized as swordswoman Asuna Yuuki in Sword Art Online, Minako Aino/Sailor Venus in the Viz Media dub of Sailor Moon, and the mage Lucy Heartfilia in Fairy Tail.

Serving up deliciously carved vegetables in the style of popular anime characters, Okitsugu Kado returns to showcase more of his edible artwork. Okitsugu was introduced to this culinary skill in Toronto, Ontario by Chef Tomohiro Isogai. Now a master of this craft, Okitsugu creates pop culture designs from food, most notably personas from Star Wars and anime.

Cosplayer Vampy Bit Me and web personality Mario Bueno are teaming up to co-host Crunchyroll-Hime’s Cosplay Cup. Vampy, a Californian, loves cosplay and figures, especially Gunpla, and has even represented Banpresto at events exhibiting the latest figure from One Piece and Dragon Ball. Outside of all that excitement, Vampy enjoys interacting in the gaming and Gundam communities.

Mario has a lengthy media career, recognizable as an emcee for many geek-related events, contests and more! He has starred in multiple podcasts, especially with Anime News Network, narrates Screen Rant’s YouTube videos and even chairs activities for GalaxyCon Live.

Registration for Virtual Crunchyroll Expo is free, and don’t forget to snag an exclusive convention tee from their online store, but only until June 30th, 2021.
