LA Clippers forward Paul George is a self-confessed PlayStation fan; when he’s not on the court, he’s gaming. And together with Nike and Sony, he has a new pair of sneakers modeled after the elusive (and expensive) PlayStation 5.

The Nike PG 5 PlayStation 5 is a special black, white and blue colourway of the basketball star’s signature shoe. For those fanatical about footwear, the pair features a full-length Nike Air Strobel air bubble sewn to the upper to soften the impacts of all the action on the hardwood. Branding includes PlayStation logos on right tongue and smaller ones on the mid-sole. Each pair also comes with a hangtag of the Paul George and PlayStation collaboration.

According to an article on PlayStation.Blog, authored by Paul George himself, mentioned that the team at Nike had partnered with the designers at Sony, including Yujin Morisawa, to create a style that was reminiscent of George and the PS5.

Gamers and sneakerheads can purchase the Nike PG 5 PlayStation 5 only in select markets starting Friday May 14th, 2021; and if anything like the PS5 launch late last year, many people using Nike’s SNKRS app might be setup for a L instead of W.

The pair is expected to retail for $120 USD (most models of the PG5 currently sell for $145 CAD in Canada).

Have NBA 2K21 for the PS4 or PS5? Add these kicks to your team’s game day wardrobe starting Wednesday, May 5th, 2021.
