Demon Slayer movie now available on Crunchyroll along with new dubs for first season

As of today, subscribers on Crunchyroll can watch the feature-length movie Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Movie: Mugen Train as well the first season of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba dubbed into a variety of languages for international fans.

Both the movie and series are available dubbed and subbed in English, Spanish, and Portuguese in English-speaking countries, as well Spanish and Portuguese in Latin America. In Europe, the series is available in French, German, and Russian in their respective countries as well as Nordic countries, while the film is available in these locations in French and Russian.

Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Movie: Mugen Train was released on digital platforms Apple TV, Microsoft Store, Vudu, Google Play, PlayStation Store, and Amazon Prime on June 22nd, 2021. It was expected for the film to become available on Crunchyroll as the company was recently purchased by Sony Music Entertainment Japan, where it joined Funimation and Aniplex. Aniplex is a producer of the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba anime series and movie.

Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Movie: Mugen Train became the first non-Hollywood film to reach number one for 2020 and picked up $470 million USD (that’s about $592 million CAD) in ticket sales globally. Screened in Canadian and US theatres on April 23rd, 2021, Mugen Train was the number one foreign-language film in the US, topping charts in the second week of release with over $49 million USD (or $61 million CAD).

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is an animated adaptation of the manga by the same name by Koyoharu Gotoge. A second season will begin airing December 5th, 2021, preceded by a seven-episode retelling of Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Movie: Mugen Train on October 10th, 2021; both which will stream on Crunchyroll.
