This truly is the end! Eleven Arts is bringing the Japanese and English dubbed movie Gintama: The Very Final to select Cineplex locations across Canada for three days only later this month.

Completing the anime series Gintama, the movie is directed by Chizuru Miyawaki with a screenplay adapted by Miyawaki from a story written by manga artist Hideaki Sorachi. Gintama: The Very Final overtook the top-grossing Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba: Mugen Train when it opened in Japanese theatres on January 8th, 2021.

With Earth on the brink of annihilation, Gintoki, Takasugi and Katsura once again band together to stave off the destruction. Friend and foe have now paired up, with Shinpachi, Kagura and the Shinsengumi aiding Gintoki and his crew in their defense of the planet. But like always, there’s obstacles in everyone’s way. Can this one last odd job be the one for Gintoki to fulfill?

Japanese rock band “SPYAIR” performs the main theme “Wadachi” while the song “Dōraku shinjō” by DOES is used during the ending credits. Another DOES song, “KNOW KNOW KNOW”, was used as an opening theme for the Gintama anime in 2016.

Tickets for Gintama: The Very Final are available online through the Cineplex website. Dates are limited to November 21st, 22nd and 25th, 2021.
