Nintendo has remained tightlipped regarding the status for sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Following the trailer shown at last year’s E3, when it was revealed that the follow-up to the 2017 title would come out sometime in 2022. Today, Nintendo posted a new video on YouTube to officially confirm the launch of game is being pushed into the spring of 2023.

Eiji Aonuma, who is producer for this untitled Legend of Zelda game, appeared in this 90 second video to apologize for the delay as development continues. No new footage was revealed and Aonuma reiterated that the same Hyrule which appears in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is returning with adventures that take place both on the ground and in the skies above the vast world. This same information regarding the locale was shared at previous events where the under development title was shown.
