We know Naruto gets some air time when he’s in the middle of battle, but Nike is looking to cash in on that sweet shinobi action with a new collaboration with their Jordan brand and American basketball star Zion Williamson.

A tweet posted to the Nike’s Jordan brand Twitter account included artwork of Naruto Uzumaki powering up a rasengan mid-leap with Zion’s name next to the iconic Jumpman logo.

Zion is a huge fan of Naruto. Just how big a fan is he? Well, big enough for Masashi Kishimoto himself to draw Zion dressed up like our favourite shinobi with a basketball. He’s held Naruto’s own mantra of believing in oneself to help achieve their dream to push himself forward, which has helped him enter the world of professional sports.

The six-foot-six-inch Williamson plays forward for the New Orleans Pelicans. New Orleans drafted Williamson in 2019.

It’s not clear what will result of this partnership, but this isn’t the first time Nike has made Naruto themed sneakers. However, anything Jordan-related, footwear or otherwise, is expected to fetch a premium price both at retail and in the reseller community.
