On Sunday morning, fans of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba were treated to a brief teaser video of the upcoming Swordsmith Village arc courtesy of Aniplex of America’s YouTube channel.
The new story is an adaptation of the manga by Koyoharu Gotoge and will heavily involve the Mist Hashira Muichiro Tokito and Love Hashira Mitsuri Kanroji.
Casting sees the return of Natsuki Hanae as the protagonist Tanjiro Kamado, Akari Kito as Tanjiro’s sister Nezuko Kamado, Hiro Shimono as the thunder-breathing Zenitsu Agatsuma, Yoshitsugo Matsuoka as the wild Inosuke Hashibira, Kengo Kawanishi as the Mist Hashira Muichiro Tokito and Kana Hanazawa as the Love Hashira Mitsuri Kanroji. Haruo Sotozaki will direct the Swordsmith Village arc, using character designs by the chief animation director Akira Matsushima, with animation done by ufotable.
No date for when this third season of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba will stream. Funimation and Crunchyroll carry the first and second seasons alongside the feature film Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie – Mugen Train.
