Vancouver Christmas Market celebrates 10th anniversary

The Vancouver Christmas Market is celebrating their tenth anniversary, with their German-themed market returning to Jack Poole Plaza at the Vancouver Convention Centre Wednesday, November 20th, 2019 through Tuesday, December 24th, 2019.

Over 80 huts will serve up European food, decorations, toys, and other crafts. Plus there’s live music, a carousel for the young and young at heart to ride, and of course, Santa Claus himself.

Tickets are available for purchase online or at the market itself. The Vancouver Christmas Market opens daily from 11:30 am PST and closest 9:30 pm PST, except on Christmas Eve, when it closes at 6:00 pm PST.

Crunchyroll Hosting Special Anime Holiday Event in Toronto

Anime fans in Toronto can get into the Christmas spirit this December with the 2nd Annual Crunchyroll Holiday Party – Anime for the Holidays on Friday, December 13th, 2019.

This festive party will include live music, and a gift box for the first 100 attendees that arrive. The gift box includes a lanyard, stickers and a gift card with a free 30-day subscription to Crunchyroll Premium.

Local DJs include Virus, Pete Ellison, Epikuro, Sixtroke and Panic Pop and they’ll be serving up some hot anime tunes all night long.

The Crunchyroll Holiday Party – Anime for the Holidays is at See-Scape at 347 Keele Street in Toronto, Ontario. Doors open at 9:30 pm EST on Friday, December 13th, 2019 and runs until 3:30 am EST on Saturday, December 14th, 2019. Admission is $10 CAD at the door.

Even though the only sunshine was liquid, this year’s Carnaval del Sol still shone brightly through the grey west coast weather. With plenty of live music, food, vendors and entertainment, there were still crowds out for the 11th year of celebrating Latin American culture.

Crunchyroll to host That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime party in Toronto

Anime-streaming service Crunchyroll is throwing a party celebrating the series That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime on Saturday, January 26th, 2019 the The Hive eSports venue in Toronto, Ontario.

The six-hour event includes screenings of episodes from the second season, live music from Kawaii Bass, Slime-themed gift bags and loot, drinks, and fans can pose for photos in front of a pop-up wall.

Crunchyroll began streaming the second season of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime on Monday, January 7th, 2019. Falling victim to a random stabbing, office worker Mikami Satoru finds himself reborn as a slime in another world. Assuming the name Rimuru, he sets off on adventure with new creatures to better himself and this strange new realm.

Doors open at 9:00 pm EST on Saturday, January 26th, 2019 and ends at 3:00 am EST on Sunday, January 27th, 2019.

There’s a $10 (cash only) cover fee to enter.
