Calling all anime and manga fans! Uniqlo has released a new round of manga themed t-shirts as part of their UT line.
This year, shonen series including Gintama, Naruto, Bleach, My Hero Academia, Haikyuu!!, Kuroko’s Basketball, Hunter x Hunter, Yu Yu Hakusho and Prince of Tennis are given the t-shirt treatment in a variety of colour and styles. Each shirt retails at $14.90 CAD.
Uniqlo, the Japanese equivalent of clothing giants H&M and the Gap, is supposedly on its way to Vancouver.
According to Vancity Buzz, Uniqlo most likely will setup shop inside the new Nordstrom which is the former Eatons/Sears building in the downtown core. It’s possible that Nordstrom secured a franchise to open a store-within-a-store for their Pacific Centre location that is expected to be later this year.
The ready-to-wear retailer offers affordable fashions for men, women and children. Everything from warm outerwear to t-shirts, jeans, and socks.
The short-sleeve shirts come in varying colours with detailed monochromatic designs of popular characters and slogans (“I’m gonna be king of the pirates” or “Believe it”) making each style unique. All are priced at a reasonable $19.90 USD.
You can’t purchase these tops online, only in Uniqlo stores. However, if you’re in New York City stop by their flagship SoHo location on Broadway.
